Project 01 — Go'oud
Concept
Go'oud — the Arabic word for 'sitting' or 'resting' — reimagines the structure of a bicycle as the posture of a seated camel. The work places two distinctly different cultural and historical objects in dialogue: the camel as an emblem of the Arab world's nomadic heritage, and the bicycle as a symbol of modern urban mobility. By merging their forms, Go'oud questions how movement and rest coexist across cultures and time — how stillness is not the absence of motion, but its counterpart.
